The focus is on women: New program to strengthen further training 2025!
The district of Coesfeld has recognized the importance of further vocational training for women and launched a new program under the title "Wegfinderin" in 2025. This offers women the opportunity to expand their skills and knowledge in order to promote both their career and their personal development. A new flyer, which presents the annual program in detail, is now available online, such as kreis-coesfeld.de reported.
The further training of women has a key role in creating equal opportunities and improving opportunities for advancement. Women work part-time or mini-jobs and take on a large part of the care work, which limits their access to educational resources. The Wegfinderin network offers targeted support to counteract these challenges and help women realize their full potential. The program gives insights into personal development and promotes the structure of valuable networks.
The event program
The Wegfinderin program begins in January 2025 with a free online lecture on "Work-Life targets 2025", which will take place on January 28 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Psychologist Lea Ehling will act as a consultant. The second event entitled "Level Up Your Energy" takes place a few days later, February 4, 2025, also from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Here the doctor and Health & Life Coach Charlotte Wagenaar will speak. Interested women have to register for the events in advance.
Gender -specific inequality in further training is a central topic that is emphasized in the discussion about equal opportunities. According to gender-blog.de , women more often take part in non-formal further training, but the overall overall volume of this further training is often significantly lower than with their male colleagues. Among other things, this is due to the fact that women spend more time for care and therefore have fewer resources for professional development.
equality and the role of companies
The challenges for women in the professional world are also reinforced by the gender -specific division of labor. While men tend to invest more time in their gainful employment, women are increasingly responsible for childcare and everyday organization in most households. These social norms, which are often referred to as "mental load", significantly influence individual use. An intersectional perspective that takes into account the different realities of life of women is necessary to identify and reduce existing disadvantages.
In addition, the Hans-Böckler-Foundation that worked among the women who worked in 2020 hours less than men. This illustrates the ongoing differences in employment participation. 46% of women work part -time, while only 11% of men choose this working mode. The equality of the sexes is not only a legal, but also a decisive social goal that is anchored in Germany by Article 3 (2) of the Basic Law.
The route-finder program could thus be a significant step in the right direction to support women in their professional and personal training and at the same time to raise awareness of the necessary social changes. In addition, it is essential that companies contribute to promoting equality and creating conditions that make further training more accessible to women.
