Renovation in the Mewa Arena: Fans have to do without the draft shit!
The football fans of the 05er have to prepare for some changes. After the home game against VfL Wolfsburg, which will take place on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., the popular "draft shit" in the Mewa Arena will not be available. This decision is part of a renovation plan to modernize the beer garden behind the Lotto Rhineland-Palatinate stand. The tent, which usually serves as a meeting point for the fans, was dismantled.
In order to offer the supporters a pleasant experience after the game, a stage in the area of the S-Block is set up under the standing grandstand. However, the "drag feast" should be reopened until the penultimate home game of the season against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday, May 4th. This was from Onefootball and 05 confirmed.
alternatives to arrival
In addition, there are currently difficulties when traveling to the home games due to track construction work between Gau-Algesheim and Uhlerborn. The route is currently closed so that no trains run to Mainz. In order not to let the fans in the area down, various alternative arrival options are recommended.

- A limited number of parking spaces is also available on the site of the Mainz University.
- A relief train from Bad Kreuznach (departure 12:23 p.m.) drives with several stops to Mainz; Return from Mainz Hbf at 6:24 p.m. The train offers 320 seats and approx. 250 standing room.
