The Börse business game was launched by Sparkassen in Germany 37 years ago and aims to promote economics with students and young adults. It not only offers an interesting platform to learn financial knowledge in a practical way, but also conveys a better understanding of how the stock exchange works. As part of the game, students can work strategically together in teams, although school support is not necessary. The next round of the game starts on October 1, which gives the participants the opportunity to join together and to further expand their knowledge.
The importance of financial education is underlined by international studies, such as the 2015 PISA study. This shows that European 15-year-olds perform poorly compared to the peers from Canada and China in economic knowledge. In view of this situation, the call for stronger integration of economic knowledge into class is getting louder. The Börse business game takes on an outstanding position in order to playfully convey the necessary tools for the responsible handling of investments.
The marketing employee Ina Ludwig and the official website of the Sparkasse Olpe-Drolshagen-Wenden are available for further information. The need for financial educational programs such as the Börse business game remains unbroken because more and more young people are to be introduced into our complex economic system.
