This service is part of the pastoral task "pastoral care of African believers" in the diocese of Speyer. The initiative aims to meet the spiritual needs of African communities. How Pilgrim Speyer adds , Pastor Asomugha is involved in this role to take care of the numerous believers of African origin.

In terms of pastoral care, also in people without Christian faith, the work of the African center in Hamburg emphasizes that migrants often face numerous challenges. The topics range from job search to social integration. Intercultural pastoral care aims to strengthen these people and support them in their identity. According to the information of the African Center it is crucial to understand and promote the clients in their specific context.

For many people with African roots in Germany, the connection to their faith community is of great importance. They have organized themselves in national associations and church communities to promote their integration and support each other. Intercultural pastoral care also deals with social worries, the social dimension of community and solidarity as well as the often difficult question of homelessness.

The event in Kaiserslautern promises to be a place of exchange and community, and represents an important step in the networking and support of African communities. Participation is open to everyone, and the service symbolizes the cultural diversity and cooperation in society.
