Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd have announced recalls nationwide of certain cutlery sets. The reason for this measure is sharp edges that pose a risk of injury for consumers.

The following products are affected by the recall:

  • Aldi Süd:
    • crofton special cutlery, 16 pc. (EAN: 406145948677, 406145948936, 406145948974)
    • crofton cutlery set, 24 pc. (EAN: 4061461779795)
  • Aldi Nord:
    • crofton trendy cutlery 16 pcs. (Available in different colors: copper - GTIN 4068706225086, gold - GTIN 4068706225079, black - GTIN 4068706225062)
    • crofton cutlery set 24-pc. (GTIN 4068706225710)

The affected products were sold between November 28, 2024 and December 16, 2024. Consumers are asked to bring the articles back to each Aldi branch where the purchase price is reimbursed. A hotline on the number 008007877236, on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Furthermore, Aldi points out that the use of the cutlery set mentioned should be avoided due to the sharp edges. The risk of injury is taken seriously and the company calls on its customers to return to prevent possible accidents.
