In the night of Friday, January 31, eleven cars were broken open in the core city of Neustadt. The police became aware of the incidents through reports of affected vehicle owners. In the northern area of ​​Theodor-Heuss-Straße there were five breakouts, including a vehicle on Gerhart-Hauptmann-Straße, Goethestrasse and Nicolaistraße. In addition, two cars were affected on Wilhelm-Busch-Weg. Four other vehicles were broken open in the southwest of the city center: one on Arnswalder Straße and Leo-Fall-Straße, one and two on Beethovenstrasse. On Friday morning there was also a departure on the Rudolf-Diesel-Ring.

The police's assessment, which assumes that when the Rudolf-Diesel-Ring is released, was not particularly striking, since the time of the crime, the location, location and procedure differed significantly. The police currently do not want to reveal any information about the stolen goods and details of the crime inspection so as not to endanger the ongoing investigations. However, a possible connection to a series of car bumps that took place in October is checked.
