Rest of reflection in the Westerwald: New impulses for volunteers!

On January 19, 2025, significant events for volunteers are in the Westerwaldkreis and Rhein-Lahn-Kreis. The reflection days organized by the CKD project group of the Caritasverband Westerwald-Rhein-Lahn should offer the participants inspiration and new impulses for their commitment. The WW Kurier reports that the events create space for reflection and exchange. These initiatives are particularly valuable at a time that fulfills the social demand for meaningful, project -oriented volunteering.

The reflection days take place on two appointments during Lent. On Saturday, March 8, in the Westerwaldkreis, and on Friday, April 4, in the Rhein-Lahn district. At the first appointment in Hachenburg, Father Guido Dupont Ocist will present the topic "He loved us", which refers to an encyclical from Pope Francis. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Caritas-Altenzentrum Haus Helena, Nisterstraße 3. The participation amount is 6 euros, including lunch and drinks.

Details on the reflection days

In Lahnstein, the day of reflection will be entitled "Pilgrims of Hope", led by Cornelia Simon, a pastoral officer. The event takes place from 2.30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Catholic parish hall of St. Barbara, Johann-Baptist-Ludwig-Straße 6. Questions are addressed here such as: "What hope are I worn?" And "How do I stay hopeful despite the challenges?" This event is free of charge and includes biblical impulses, personal reflections and exchange for coffee and cake.

The registration options are available from the Westerwald-Rhein-Lahn Caritas Association. The deadlines are February 26 for Hachenburg and March 28 for Lahnstein.
