Unknown perpetrators damaged and stolen several fountain figures on Dechant-Budde-Weg in Harsewinkel between Thursday, January 30th and Friday, January 31, 2025. The fountain affected, which was originally decorated with eight figures, is in the immediate vicinity of the municipal high school. Five of the figures were stolen, while different parts were separated and also stolen from two other figures. The entirety of these acts has led the district police authority Gütersloh initiated an investigation due to particularly severe theft. The investigation is currently still in progress.

The crime time is set on Friday between 1:00 p.m. on Thursday and 5:20 p.m. The police asked the population for help and is looking for witnesses who have made suspicious observations during the period mentioned.
