The group consisted of 12 inlet children, 10 from the Kleve-Materborn children's village and 2 from the open all-day school (OGS) at the support center. They were accompanied by 13 accompanying persons, including 2 divisions. The journey to Mönchengladbach took place in three minibuses, whereby the children were particularly excited to meet the team's players and coaches.

After changing in the cabins, the children had the opportunity to take a seat on the coaching bench and were welcomed by Borussia Mönchengladbach's mascot "Jünter" and by television moderators.

The group experienced a real change of feelings that ended with the return to the children's village at 8 p.m. Everyone agreed that this day had unique and formative influence on their enthusiasm for football.

In another exciting event, children from Hilgert traveled to Mönchengladbach with their parents and their coaching team on March 4. They were invited to be part of the game against FC Schalke 04. After a long outward journey due to traffic jams, they arrived on time at the stadium, where they were welcomed and led by the cabins.

The Hilgerter children had the opportunity to exchange gifts with the U9 team from Mönchengladbach and prepare for playing with the professionals. They not only experienced the atmosphere of a Bundesliga game, but were also allowed to play their own game against the U9 of the association, even if they lost it. Nevertheless, the day was an unforgettable experience for all participants.
