Energy costs increase: Bugatti urgently demands help from the government!
High energy costs are an urgent and recurring topic in Germany. In a current statement, Julius Brinkmann, managing partner of Bugatti Holding, expressed the urgent wish for specific measures from the new federal government. These demands come in the middle of the considerable challenges that the company has to deal with in the current transformation. The Bugatti Holding is a family -run medium -sized company in the third generation, headquartered on Hansastraße in Herford and more than 600 employees.
The energy price crisis that began at the end of 2021 was additionally tightened to Ukraine by the Russian attack war. These drastic developments led the federal government to react with a number of measures. According to a report by the German Economy Institute (IW), a total of 28 measures were laced in three relief packages in order to cushion the increasing energy costs.
scope of the measures
Overall, the scope of these auxiliary measures amounts to just under 240 billion euros for the period from 2022 to 2024. The fiscal instruments include price brakes for electricity and gas, compensation for the cold progression, the elimination of the EEG surcharge and the introduction of the energy prices. In addition, an inflation compensation premium was introduced, which is financed by employers and is accompanied by the state's tax and social security contributions.
In many cases, the relief has weakened the inflation -related burdens for private households. In particular, the reform of the housing allowance plus, which has been in effect since January 1, 2023, ensures that families entitled to housing benefit in the low income range can benefit from fully compensation for their loads. Households with medium and higher incomes are also able to compensate for their loads on inflation compensation premium.
challenges and accuracy
Nevertheless, there are significant weaknesses within the relief packages. Higher energy import prices create a loss of welfare for Germany, and a complete compensation for the stress for all households seems unrealistic. It is suggested that particularly needy households should be supported primarily. Critics indicate that high state compensations in higher income areas often reveal and lead to lack of precaution and lead to scattering effects. This circumstances ultimately burden taxpayers and could restrict the fiscal scope in other political fields.
The wish of Julius Brinkmann for specific measures is therefore the more urgent against the background of the continuing challenges that the energy price crisis brings. Bugatti Holding also sees itself as an important example for many companies that are affected by the high energy costs and the associated uncertainties. While the Federal Government tries to relieve the citizens on the speed, the questions about the medium -term competitiveness and sustainable future design of the companies remain explosive and inexhaustible.
