The Autohaus Beinke ensures test drives with e-cars, while the Freytag company presents the first e-truck in the Höxter district. The status of the NRW consumer center, as well as the state energy agency NRW, which acts under the Banner Energy4Climate, provide insights into practical solutions for saving energy.workshops and information
A special part of the mobility day is the Legoserious Play workshop, which is carried out together with the OWL Technical University. Here participants can playfully discuss mobility and develop ideas. Another important aspect is the clarification of mobility in old age, organized by the Vital Center Zager and the Rehabilitation Team Dreilandeck. This initiative offers rollator checks as well as information on the use of electric vehicles. In addition, a special bus connection from Risse-Reisen is set up to make it easier for older people to arrive.
For families and children there is a movement course and a Segway course that offer both fun and active access to the upcoming mobility turn. A common stand by the city and district of Höxter also addresses mobility and climate protection. An informative offer that appeals to the awareness of sustainability and encourages citizens to think about their mobility habits.
Use of mobility data for the future
During the mobility day, people sensitize people to sustainable mobility, the study "Big Data in Mobility" of the Goslar Institute shows how important current mobility data is for the development of sustainable traffic concepts. This data help to design future -oriented traffic planning that are cost -effective and resource -saving. The Climate Protection Act aims to significantly reduce the annual greenhouse gas emissions in the traffic sector by 2030. These emissions currently make up around a fifth of the total greenhouse gas emissions in Germany, such as bpb.de
For the implementation of such a mobility turn, the promotion of electric vehicles and the creation of attractive offers for public transport is of crucial importance. However, the financing of extensive expansion projects remains a challenge, since the funds are often not sufficient. The federal government recently increased the grants for public transport, but it requires continuing incentives and advanced planning to make the mobility of the future efficiently.
With the mobility day in Höxter, an important sign is set to actively involve citizens in the discussion about sustainable mobility. Admission to the event is free, and further information is available online at www.hoexter.de/mobilenergie . The combination of information, exchange and practical experiences would like to encourage people to make mobility in the region sustainable.
