The VHS Höxter-Marienmünster plans a special excursion to the "Regional exhibition of the Bundeswehr", which will take place on March 21, 2025. The exhibition itself will open on July 25, 2024 in the General Weber barracks in Höxter and bears the topic: "On site-in action. Reviews. Insights. Views". This exhibition will not only shed light on the over 150-year garrison story in Höxter, but also present the significant highlights of the pioneering system and the ABC defense over the past 30 years. The skills of the ABC players presented there are complex and are supplemented by versatile information options such as infotes, dioramas, photos, films, tablets and a digital table.

Visitors have the opportunity to experience the exhibition as part of a tour. Admission is free and there is no age restriction. The reorganization of companies 7 in Höxter and 750 in Bruchsal to ABC defense regiments began as early as 2020. Member of the Bundestag Christian Haase (CDU) expressed his pride in the soldiers from Höxter, who are actively involved in building up the new location. This process aims to strengthen state defense in East Germany and to increase the ability to defend against atomic, biological and chemical threats.

The establishment of the new regiment near Berlin will be sought for the coming year 2024, with the aim of achieving complete operational capacity by 2027. The ABC defense battalion 7, which has been in Höxter since 1993, is integrated into this new process. This increases the number of posts in order to meet the increasing importance of this task.
