Fack in Germany: Integration of foreign talents in focus!
The immigration of qualified specialists to Germany remains a challenge despite the existing skilled workers immigration law. The Office for Integration of the District of Minden-Lübbecke and Mozaik gGmbH are actively involved in facilitating the integration of foreign specialists into the German labor market. Particularly noteworthy is the opening event of the IQ NRW-Ost partial project, which took place on February 24, 2025 in Minden-Lübbecke to mobilize and sensitize the responsible community. At this event, 14 participants from various migrant organizations and migrant communities were present, including the association for the promotion of integration and tolerance, global education Africa, pearls for Afghanistan and the Ezidi forum.
During the event,Cemalettin Özer presented the basics of the Special Immigration Act and the changes made between 2023 and 2024. A central goal of this project is to gain new skilled workers from the various migrant organizations that should play an important role in accompanying foreign specialists on their integration path into the labor market. The next phase of the sub -project is focused on the qualification and exchange of this FSB by the end of the year.
The importance of recognizing professional qualifications
A central element for the successful integration of international specialists in Germany is the recognition of professional qualification. This recognition means that a foreign professional qualification in Germany is legally equivalent. There are three types of recognition: full recognition, partly recognition and no recognition. In order to ensure equivalence, an application for recognition must be made. The recognition procedure only begins after the application. The legal framework is crucial for the access of foreign specialists to the German labor market.
strategies for securing skilled workers
The federal government has already taken measures to improve the situation. In 2019, over 39,400 qualified people from third countries immigrated to Germany, with most of them coming from India, the USA and Turkey. Immigration from EU countries has been simply possible since 2005 through the principle of free movement of workers. The Department of 2020 has further facilitated access for specialists from third countries. However, an employment contract must be available as well as a recognized professional qualification that is equivalent to German standards.
Despite these progress, there are still challenges in integration. Immigrants often have to struggle with linguistic difficulties and a lack of familiarity with German work culture. In addition, many companies show a preference for domestic specialists in terms of incorporation regarding time and resources. These factors contribute to the fact that immigrant specialists can often be found in precarious employment relationships.
It is therefore of crucial importance that Germany not only improves the legal framework, but also creates a welcome culture, especially in key areas such as health and nursing, in order to remain attractive to specialists and to be able to grow future challenges. hello-minden.de reports that the collaboration between different organizations should promote integration in order to strengthen the diversity in the labor market. In summary, the path to the integration of foreign specialists is a multi -layered process that takes into account both legal and social aspects. The entire area of securing skilled workers is in a dynamic change that brings with it both opportunities and challenges for the participants and society as a whole.Details | |
