Saved family: dramatic apartment fire in Lichtenau-Herbram!

In the affected apartment, a family of four lived to safety over the terrace. The fire was apparently triggered when a gas bottle at the stove was changed, which led to great damage to property, which the police estimate to be several ten thousand euros.

All four family members breathe in flue gases and were supplied by the on -site emergency services. Only a three -year -old girl had to be admitted to a Paderborn clinic. The responsible ambulance service was used with four ambulances and two emergency doctors to ensure the care of those affected.

The fire brigade also took measures to pay the heat from the adjacent cultivation by removing the roof tiles. A thermal imaging camera was used to control any embers in the roof area. After completing the extinguishing work, the fire site was initially confiscated in order to determine the exact cause of the fire, and the investigation was recorded by the fire investigators.

The Lichtenau fire brigade expressly thanks the residents in Herbram, who provided the emergency services with drinks and pastries. The city administration also organized the care of the firefighters on site, while neighbors donated sparkling boxes and bottles to support the rescuers.

The extinguishing and cleaning up dragged on until the late afternoon. It is currently unclear whether the damaged house will be habitable again at short notice. The police will continue the cause of the fire to ensure that similar incidents can be avoided in the future. This incident underlines the importance of fire protection and preventive measures that must always be observed in the region.
