Apartments in the Germersheim district: DTV stars bring clarity!

Last year,

examiners of the German Tourism Association (DTV) examined holiday apartments in the Germersheim district for quality and equipment. A total of 37 holiday apartments and a holiday home were classified according to a uniform rating system. 23 objects received three and 15 objects four stars. This classification is a decisive decision criterion for vacation guests because it offers an independent and objective assessment of the accommodation.

Among the excellent companies are the apartment of the Wirsching-Lenz family in Berg and the Birkenhof holiday home from the Kühborth family in Lustadt, both of which received four DTV stars. Four apartments with three stars and eleven with four stars were awarded in the Boardinghouse Rülzheim. The "Apart: Menthouse" in Rülzheim was first evaluated and receives 18 apartments with three stars and two with four stars. The district thus records a total of 47 valid DTV classifications: 28 objects with three stars and 19 with four stars, such as Rheinpfalz.de reported.

new criteria for holiday accommodations

As part of the DTV classification, new criteria were introduced in 2022. In addition to the traditional holiday homes and apartments, these also include extraordinary accommodation concepts such as Tiny Houses and converted overseas containers. In order to offer greater flexibility, the evaluation standards have been updated and now focus, among other things, on digital processes, additional advisory services and an extended sustainability assessment. According to Deutschertourismusverband.de , smaller accommodations and those with combined living space can now reach the highest star category.

Currently around 40,000 holiday accommodations in Germany have been awarded DTV stars. An additional program, the star people's club, enables around 22,000 hosts to network with each other and exchange information. This shows that the DTV classification has far -reaching effects on accommodation and transparency.

focus on sustainability

The DTV also relies on sustainability in the tourist accommodation industry and will focus even more on it in the coming years. One of the latest requirements is that every classified holiday accommodation has to offer free WiFi. This is accompanied by positive reviews for implementations such as a workplace or insect grille on bedroom windows. From January 6, 2025, a revised catalog of criteria will come into force, which aims to further increase the quality of holiday accommodations, such as daily menu.io reported.

These comprehensive evaluation systems and the qualitative securing of the accommodations are part of the long -term goals of the DTV to strengthen the tourism industry in Germany and to develop a need -based infrastructure that benefits both the guests and the hosts.
