Fire Brigade Langenselbold: record numbers and new projects for 2025!

On March 11, 2024, the annual general meeting of the Langenselbold volunteer fire brigade took place. City fire inspector Marco Knapp introduced the meeting, which began at 7 p.m., with the speech and memory of deceased comrades. Among the guests were around 80 people, including District Administrator Thorsten Stoltz and Mayor Timo Greuel, as well as representative of the district fire chief Andreas Matz and Pastor Till Wisseler.

A central goal is to plan a children's fire brigade for children from the age of six. In addition, there was a successful fire protection week last year, which attracted many new interested parties. The projects for the future include the updating of the needs and development planning, the construction of a carport, a cold-light building hall and the procurement of a rescue boat. For 2025, other important procurements such as a operational control car, a logistics device car and several fire engines are planned.

In addition, reports from the city youth fire brigade, represented by Jörg Schweizer, and the age and honor department, which currently count 27 members. The excellent cooperation with the German Red Cross (DRK) and the Technical Relief Agency (THW) in fire protection education, where a total of 458 hours were raised.

Anita Kroll, Mateusz Kroll, Max Ehnert, Manuel Pütz and Ingo Wick were new to fire brigade applicants. City fire inspector Knapp expressed his thanks to all emergency services as well as their families and supporters who make the fire brigade possible.
