Such occasions promote interreligious cooperation and the dialogue between cultures.

a deeper look at the Situation

The situation in the Middle East remains tense, which is clear by expanding the conflict to Lebanon and the displacement of hundreds of thousands. Events such as the counter demo on the “political Ash Wednesday” of the AfD in Neuwied-Torney, which took place in 2024 and attracted 350 participants, show that the public is increasingly sensitized. In addition, Prof. Dr. Freise with peace ethics among Christians in the context of the Ukraine War.

His deep analyzes and solutions are also reflected in his book "Pope Francis: Man of Peace", in which he makes his own contribution to interreligious peace theology. These large number of initiatives and its commitment within the scientific advisory board of the Catholic Peace Movement Pax Christi and in the Board of Trustees underpower his role as an important voice in the peace movement.

The upcoming event not only promises valuable insights into the current peace efforts, but also the chance to jointly develop strategies for sustainable peace. The event is a call for active participation in the design of a more peaceful future for everyone involved in the Middle East.
