The Turkish Association Fulda and its traditions
The Turkish Association Fulda has established itself as a central player in the Fulda carnival scene. The association was founded in 1887 and not only promotes the carnival, but also the traditional customs, which is characteristic of Fulda. The oriental costumes that are worn during the carnival campaign, including the traditional FES, are particularly noticed In addition to the Träänker Revue, the association also organizes a number of other events during the carnival period. Including the foreign meeting, the children's festival and the first Fulder Weiberfoaset. Outside of foolish times, the association is involved in the community through regulars' tables, excursions and festivals to strengthen club life all year round.
carnival as a cultural phenomenon
The carnival represents a deeply rooted tradition that is celebrated in many Christian countries. This "fifth season" is characterized by a variety of customs that take place before Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday. In Germany, this time is called different depending on the region: carnival, carnival or carnival. The festivities begin on November 11th at 11:11 a.m. and reach their climax on Weiberfastnacht and Rosenmontag, as Paradisi describes.
Special features of the carnival are the extensive removals that take place in many cities such as Cologne, Mainz and Düsseldorf. While large fixed removals with more than one million visitors are expected in Cologne, the street festivals and social gatherings are more concise in southern Germany.
Overall, the carnival not only reflects happiness and conviviality, but also deeper cultural and historical roots that promote community and traditions.
