Grüngut pick-up: How to prepare yourself properly!
The collection of Grüngut in Saarbrücken will take place on Thursday, April 10th, by the central municipal waste disposal company (ZKE). In order to ensure smooth processing, citizens must register at the latest one week before the desired pick -up date. The booking is simply via the website www.zke-sb.de/sperrmuellonline or by phone at +49 681 905-2000 possible.
The collection enables the disposal of up to four cubic meters of green goods. The costs are 15 euros per cubic meter. In order for the collection to be successful, the green estate bundles with compostable cord, such as from hemp or sisal, must be put together. It is important that the bundle does not exceed a maximum weight of 30 kg and do not exceed a length of 1.80 m.
regulations for collection and submission
The greenery should be provided on the roadside, whereby it must be ensured that neither pedestrians nor drivers are endangered. Foliage and lawn cut may only be handed over to the ZKE value-plated fuel centers. These are on the following addresses:
- Am Holzbrunnen 4, St. Johann
- Wiesenstraße 20, Malstatt
- composting system in Gersweiler (subject to a fee)
In addition, the value island of Dudweiler and the green cutting stop at Brebach also take on green waste material. It is worth noting that wood tribes and branches with a diameter of more than 10 cm can be delivered free of charge in the composting system if they are between 1 and 3 m long.
rules to cut plants
When maintaining hedges, trees and bushes, it should be noted that a radical pruning between March 1 and September 30 is prohibited in accordance with Section 39 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act. Only gentle care and shape cuts are allowed as long as no brooding birds are disturbed. Citizens are asked to check before the cut whether animals live in the hedge. Further information on this is available at www.zke-sb.de/gruenschnitt
In Stuttgart, the city authorities also offer support in waste disposal. Here, citizens can purchase special green goods bags made of paper for just one euro. These sacks have a capacity of 70 liters and are available in all district council houses and certain retail stores.
