The collection of Grüngut in Saarbrücken will take place on Thursday, April 10th, by the central municipal waste disposal company (ZKE). The collection enables the disposal of up to four cubic meters of green goods. The costs are 15 euros per cubic meter. In order for the collection to be successful, the green estate bundles with compostable cord, such as from hemp or sisal, must be put together. It is important that the bundle does not exceed a maximum weight of 30 kg and do not exceed a length of 1.80 m.

When maintaining hedges, trees and bushes, it should be noted that a radical pruning between March 1 and September 30 is prohibited in accordance with Section 39 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act. Only gentle care and shape cuts are allowed as long as no brooding birds are disturbed. Citizens are asked to check before the cut whether animals live in the hedge.
