In 2024, almost 3.7 million D-Marks were exchanged in euros in Hesse, which corresponds to an equivalent of around 1.9 million euros. Nationwide, the Bundesbank exchange amount was a good 53 million D-Mark in the same year, which corresponds to around 27.2 million euros.
