The 2nd Bundesliga starts on August 2, 2024 in its 51st season, the 2024/25 season. This year the opening game between 1st FC Köln and Hamburger SV will be held in the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne at 6:30 p.m. The entire season extends until May 18, 2025, with a winter break, which is planned from December 23, 2024 to January 16, 2025.
