On March 25, 2025, the new event calendar "Westerwald Natural experiences 2025" will be released, which focuses on environmental and natural topics. The publication is aimed particularly at families and nature lovers and offers a comprehensive overview of numerous events, excursions, workshops and promotions in the Westerwald region. According to WW-Kurier , the calendar includes over 400 activities, nature observations and creative workshops that target, children and parents to bring closer.

The events in the calendar deal with topics such as sustainability, nature conservation and environmental education. The goal is to offer practice -oriented insights into nature conservation and sustainable action. The event calendar is made available free of charge and is available via various channels such as district and community administrations, tourist information and online.

Community project and event registration

The Westerwald Natural experience Calendar is being created as a joint project of the Altenkirchen, Neuwied and Westerwaldkreis districts under the initiative "We Westerwälder". This initiative is intended to inspire people for the relaxing landscape and the diverse habitats in the Westerwald. Clubs, associations and private individuals are invited to submit events if they have a connection to nature and the environment. Over 400 events have always been offered in recent years, which shows how important these projects are for the region.
