On February 13, 2025, there are considerable changes in Commerzbank. The bank plans to reduce a total of 3,900 full -time positions by the end of 2027, with the majority, around 3,300 jobs, in Germany, especially in Frankfurt. This job cuts primarily affect the headquarters, the staff functions and the back office. The global staff should remain stable at 36,700 full -time forces, since new employment opportunities are to be created at other locations. These measures are part of a comprehensive revision of the corporate strategy, which is to be presented today on a capital market day, such as Tagesschau executed.

In addition, a remarkable theft was reported in Lohfelden (Kassel), in which around 75 vacuum cleaners worth around 65,000 euros were stolen from a truck. A 23-year-old was arrested while two accomplices are still on the run. In another incident in Kassel, a 39-year-old was arrested who is accused of deliberately approaching a pedestrian-an incident that is considered an attempted manslaughter.

In the meantime there was a fire in Hanau from a deregistered ambulance, in which the police were determined for possible arson. The damage incurred amounts to around 15,000 euros. Also in Maintal, where an eight -year -old boy was hit by a driver who then fled, the police are looking for information on clarification of the incident.
