Frankfurt's new Food Hall: District Marquet brings pleasure to the center!

In the middle of the pulsating center of Frankfurt, a coveted place for culinary and community is created: the food hall "District Marquet". Part of the large -scale “Four” Frankfurt project, this innovative catering area is expected to open at the end of 2025. The location, which lies between the Großer Gallusstrasse, the Neue Schlesingergasse and Junghofstrasse, will not only offer a variety of gastronomic experiences, but will also be a place of encounter for residents, business people and tourists.

The "Four" Frankfurt includes an impressive design of four high -rise buildings with more than 200,000 square meters of floor space that can be used for living, working and leisure time. 600 apartments consisting of expensive condominiums and subsidized rental apartments are planned, the latter comprising 80 units, the rental prices of which are between 5.50 and 10.50 euros per square meter. In addition, 4,000 jobs are created in the complex, while two of the office towers are already occupied by companies.

The gastronomic offer in the Marquet District

The "District Marquet" is space for around 3,000 square meters for twelve food stands, two bars, a full-service restaurant, a cooking school, a bakery, a wine trade, a cheese bar as well as coffee, dessert and ice cream counter. This diverse gastronomic concept draws inspiration from international role models such as the Chelsea Market in New York and Time Out Market in Lisbon. The design is designed by the British office MacaulaysinClair, which wants to create a modern and comfortable feeling of space. The Brand Design comes from the Frankfurt Agency Nordisk Büro Plus.

The operators of Foodhall, Food Affairs GmbH, have considerable experience in gastronomy, including the management of the Maintower restaurant, which was awarded a Michelin star. The Food Hall will be open seven days a week and, in addition to the culinary offer, should also offer space for cultural events, cooking courses and other experiences.

a project with vision

The main developer Groß & Partner acquired the area from Deutsche Bank to return an early closed area to the city. This project focuses on creating new ways and connections as well as the revival of the city center. In addition, facilities such as a kindergarten, a supermarket and a children's playground are available on the roof of the high -rise building. The design of the entire area is realized under the direction of Ben van Berkel from Unstudio and aims to enrich Frankfurt with new cultural and mixed buildings.
