Hessian police relies on innovation: new digital strategy at Westhafen!

On February 4, 2025, the Hessian police informed about the progress of the innovation HUB 110, which has been a central player within the Hessian police headquarters (HPT) since its foundation at the Westhafen in Frankfurt in early 2020. The hub has set itself the goal of networking professionalism and technology in order to develop user -oriented digital solutions for police work. This is done in the context of the Hessian digital strategy, which aims to modernize and efficiency of police structures.

With interdisciplinary teams that emphasize flat hierarchies and high personal responsibility, solutions can be developed quickly. An example of your work is the analysis platform "Hessendata", which supports investigators in processing heavy and organized crime. This platform is not only used in Hesse, but is also to be implemented in other federal states in order to promote the cross -country exchange of information. At the same time, the hub enables close cooperation between representatives of the police, science and business.

Current vacancies and requirements

In order to meet the requirements of the changing digital environment, the Hessian police are currently looking for project engineers with a focus in information technology. The service locations are Frankfurt am Main and Wiesbaden. The tasks include the support of the overall project management, the creation of specifications for IT solutions and the documentation of project progress.

Central topics are the fight against child pornography and sexual abuse, as well as the improvement of the communication channels between citizens and the police.

The way of working in the hub is based on the philosophy "Make instead of planning". In three-month cycles (okr cycles), projects are promoted, with agile methods such as Scrum and Kanban use. The Open Desk Policy promotes flexible workplace design and cooperation in cross -functional teams.
