On February 15, 2025, Kerstin John celebrated her 25th anniversary at the Main-Kinzig district. He emphasized how valuable John is for administration, both professionally and human. Kerstin John, who studied graduate education at the University of Frankfurt and achieved her end in 1999, began her professional career at the Main-Kinzig disabled work and as a city youth worker in Gelnhausen. Since entering the Main-Kinzig district in 2001, she initially worked in the youth welfare office in Gelnhausen, where she supported the youth education work and the youth promotion.

In 2005 she became part of a project team for administrative reform in Hanau and took over the management of the citizens' portal in Gelnhausen.
