Ten years of burning passion: Adrian Vogler celebrates anniversary!

On April 1, 2025, Adrian Vogler, the district fire inspector (KBI) of the district of Fulda, celebrates his tenth anniversary. Since his appointment on April 1, 2015, he has mastered numerous challenges and accompanied significant events in the region. Previously, Vogler was military leader of the Fulda-Kohlhaus volunteer fire brigade and followed Dr. Björn Steisel after the position was vacant for 24 months.

In the year of his appointment as KBI, Vogler was directly confronted with the establishment of a tent city for around 600 refugees, a measure that arose in the context of the 2015 refugee crisis. In the following years he led various missions and events, including the major fire in a sawmill in Dipperz in 2015 and the awarding of the performance clip in Bad Salzschlirf in 2016. He also remained active in the years after the year, for example there were celebrations on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Fulda district youth fire brigade.

Important missions and events

Vogler's presence is reflected in the significant missions of recent years:

• 2018: residential fire in Flieden-Magdlos
• 2022: barn fire in Grossenlüder-Bimbach
• 2023: Open day of the Hünfeld fire department
• 2024: forest fire exercise in the Gieseler Forest and use in Neuhof

In connection with the redesign of the fire and disaster protection structures, the amended fire and disaster protection law (LBKG) became effective on December 30, 2020. This reform led to a renaming the functions: the previous district fire brigade inspectors were renamed fire and disaster protection inspectors. The city fire brigade inspectors are also affected.

The changes were implemented in the BKS portal.rlp, whereby the functions of the previous KFI and SFI and the deputy were revised. These measures have to be adapted to the new circumstances without the need for a functional change or a new application on the user page. The access rules that were previously considered for KFI and SFI were transferred to the new function of the KBI.

With his commitment and the numerous actions that he led in his term, Adrian Vogler remains a formative figure in the fire and disaster protection of the Fulda district. His work stands not only for professionalism, but also for a high level of identification with the concerns of the fire brigade, which he continues to drive.
