Tragic loss: entrepreneur Andreas Roßmar died at the age of 38
Andreas Roßmar, the managing director of the family company Vomberg, died at the age of 38. According to a family press release, he committed suicide. Roßmar leaves his wife Stephanie and four children together. In his function as managing director, he was largely responsible for the delivery of the wood and plastic processing craft and implemented a variety of entrepreneurial visions.
Stephanie Roßmar now takes over the management of the company and receives support from Gerhard Wiegand, who will also act as managing director. The construction of a new company building on Kurfürstenstraße "Am Revertzück" in Schluechtern, which is planned for the second quarter of 2025, continues as planned. Mayor Christopher Gärtner from Flieden expressed his sympathy and paid tribute to Roßmar's entrepreneurial achievements. Manfred Helfrich, Mayor of Poppenhausen, also recalled Roßmar's acquisition and modernization of the Leo Bub Möbelwerkstätte.
new building and future prospects
Before his death,Roßmar announced the beginning of the earthworks for the new building in Schluechtern. The completion of the new building was planned for the first quarter of 2024. Vomberg had acquired a 30,000 square meter area in the Schluechtern commercial area in 2017, of which 9,000 square meters are to be built on. The planned costs for the new building amounted to 12 million euros. The general contractor for the project is Mäx GmbH from Schweinfurt, which specializes in photovoltaics, automation and special construction and, together with the client, attaches great importance to the use of renewable energies.
Roßmar had introduced the planning for the new building to the Schluechtern Magistrate and emphasized his commitment to the city. Mayor Matthias Möller was positive about the new building and its importance for Schluechtern, while the plans have been running for more than three years. Better working conditions and modern social and break rooms as well as more space for variety of articles and optimized process processes are planned. The existing seat in Schluechse Gartenstraße will be preserved until further notice, a move of the office workstations is planned, but has not yet been scheduled. Roßmar also planned to hold a works meeting in February 2024 in order to present the project and the further use of the old building. Vomberg is also in negotiations on the originally planned site in Flieden after a legal dispute with the community. Roßmar stood in close exchange with the Mayor of Flieden Christian Henkel about the start of construction in Schluechtern.
