Annual conference of biofeedback experts: Innovations for health!

The 24th annual conference of the German Society for Biofeedback (DGBfB e.V.) will take place on September 12 and 13, 2025 in Fulda. This specialist event is aimed at experts and interested parties in organic and neurofeedback therapy and offers a diverse program. The conference includes a scientific part, workshops and a poster exhibition. Subjects can be submitted by April 30, 2025. The contributions are to be submitted in short version using a provided form and should be sent by email to annual conference@dgbfb.de , as reported [idw-online]

organic and neurofeedback are innovative, empirically based therapy methods that enable patients to make body and brain processes visible in real time. Their effectiveness is proven for numerous applications, including pain syndromes, cardiovascular diseases as well as psychological and psychosomatic complaints such as ADHD. These methods are also increasingly committed to coaching and peak performance training. The DGBFB e.V. has around 600 members who are made up of psychologists, psychotherapists, doctors and other health professions.

Current events and training offers

The neurofeedback working group meets on the first Tuesday every month at 7:00 p.m. and thus offers the opportunity for regular exchange among experts. The next appointment will be on June 3, 2025. Furthermore, various QZ Biofeedback events take place. The dates are:

  • Wednesday, May 14, 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

These courses are offered both in presence and online in order to meet a broad target group. Interested new members are welcome and can contact secretariat@dgbfb.de . The offer is steadily expanded, so that online courses are also available.

scientific foundations and practical applications

biofeedback enables patients to influence involuntary physical processes. Over 30 years after the development of the first devices for autogenic training, which almost lowered the dropout rate to zero, the technology has developed considerably. The second edition of a crucial book on Biofeedback places a new focus on neurofeedback, which allows the patient to control brain signals themselves. EEG waves and subcortical brain areas such as the Amygdala and the Gyrus Cinguli are regulated.

The areas of application for biofeedback methods are diverse. They are ideal for the treatment of:

  • head and back pain
  • high blood pressure
  • incontinence
  • tinnitus
  • Psychosomatic disorders
  • sleep disorders
  • adhs
  • locked-in-syndrome

The book in question, which is the most comprehensive work on the subject of biofeedback in the German-speaking world, not only offers scientific reasons and practical help, but also diagnostic and therapy guidelines. The price of 49.95 euros is kept moderately by advertisements by manufacturers of biofeedback devices, which increases accessibility. These resources, combined with a practice -oriented preparation, are valuable support for doctors, psychologists and physiotherapists and also offer an understandable glossary to convey complex topics more easily, as [aerzteblatt.de] illustrate.
