Young talents in billiards: Kassel awaits gripping youth championship!

This coming weekend, February 8th and 9th 2025, the youth hesse championship will take place in the pool billard in Kassel. Four young talents of the SG Johannesberg will take part: Felix (11), Luca (14), Marlene (14) and Annika (14). The competitions begin on Saturday with the disciplines 8-ball and 10-ball, followed by the 9-ball discipline on Sunday. The young athletes look forward to the opportunity to measure themselves against the best youth players of Hesse.

trainer Ramona Firle accompanies the talents to her first big tournament. This participation is of great importance for the development of young athletes because they want to gain valuable tournament experience and want to establish themselves in the Hessian billiard scene. The tournament is held in the clubhouse of the Billard Union Kassel, where the Hessen Championship of the Youth took place last weekend, in which 27 athletes from various cities of Hesse took part, such as Wiesbaden, Büttelborn and Fulda, reports Hpbv .

The Hessen Championship started on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with the 8-ball in seven age groups that range from U14 to U22. The participants played “everyone against everyone”, which created an intensive competitive situation. In the age group male U18 there was an exciting group phase, followed by a semi -finals and a final. The top positions in the different categories are as follows.
