carnival time in Hessen
The carnival celebrations in Hesse have a long tradition and offer an opportunity to present the foolish figures in the region. Whether carnival, carnival or Fastnacht - the festival is celebrated in many different ways in Hesse. It doesn't matter to the celebrants whether they wear costumes from Cologne, Mainz or Düsseldorf. The celebrations not only bring music and fun, but are also an opportunity for many to use the carnival season for a vacation in Hesse.
The NCV is an important part of this tradition and shows how seriously the carnival clubs in Hesse maintain their customs. In addition to the official enthronement of the Frankfurt prince couple and special events such as the "Rosa-Wölkchen sessions", there are fixed removals and parties in many places that captivate people. Festures such as the town hall storm in Ober-Mörlen or the rosens Sunday parade in Büttelborn attract numerous visitors and are just a few examples from the rich carnival tradition of Hesse.
The event in Nidda has once again proven that Fastnacht is not only a celebration, but also an important part of Hessian culture that brings people together. For Helmut Schad it was undoubtedly an unforgettable day, surrounded by friends, family and the impressive carnival community.
