Open day: a festival for the whole family in Bad Hersfeld!
On April 27, 2025, the youth hostel Bad Hersfeld opened their doors to the public and offered visitors a promising program. The open house, organized by Herbergleiter Sascha demand and his team, excited great interest. The event began in the morning with guided tours through the various areas of the hostel, including the rooms, dining rooms and conference rooms. Admission was free for all visitors, which led to a lively rush.
The physical well -being was also taken care of: the guests were able to enjoy soups, fresh coffee, cake and waffles. A special musical accompaniment came from the mobile Marching band "Jazz Police" from Berlin, which created a good atmosphere with jazz, Dixieland and swing classics.

The youth hostel not only took care of the adults. There were numerous activities for families and children. The group "Eventy" from Hauneck offered archery during the day, while the children's mechanism "Fiesta" with play equipment, such as Hula Hoop tires and juggling plate, provided fun. A bouncy castle and other play equipment in the garden made the visit to the youngest guests a real experience.
In addition, the German Youth Hasterberg Association (DJH) was on site to provide information. Children were able to realize themselves creatively while applying make -up. The day ended around 5 p.m., but the activities were not yet complete.
In the evening, the band "Soul2Soul" provided live music for the may festival from 7.30 p.m. The cozy, sunny weather invited many people to spend the evening in the garden of the youth hostel, in accordance with the museum night in the city center.
