Guided bike tours to Stadtallendorf: Adventure on two wheels!
On April 3, 2025, the local group Schwalmstadt of the ADFC invites you to a special event: guided bike tours along Wiera, a picturesque river that flows through the region. On Sunday, April 6, 2025, bike enthusiasts can choose between two different tours, which offer both sporting challenges and relaxed experiences.
For sporty ambitious cyclists, the demanding round tour on the Haasse-Hügel in Treysa starts at 10:15 a.m. This route extends over 51 kilometers and comprises about 340 meters of altitude. The way back is largely along the Wiera River and includes exciting foot passages. The route leads through places such as Igelsheide, Neustadt and Herrenwald before going back to Treysa. The participants are asked to pay attention to the suitable clothing according to the onion principle, sufficient drinks and snacks. Trekking bikes, gravel or mountain bikes are suitable for this tour; Racing bikes are not recommended.

The second tour, a simplified half -day tour, is aimed at less experienced cyclists. These participants meet at 11:45 a.m. at Treysa station, from where they drive to Stadtallendorf at 12:02 p.m. The total route is 26 kilometers, with around 200 meters of altitude to be overcome. The arrival in Stadtallendorf is planned for 12:30 p.m. A single ticket for the train journey costs 6.60 euros. For this tour it is recommended to use pedelecs that have to adapt to the group's speed level.
