The ice hockey Jugend Kassel e.V. was founded on January 1, 1994 and has since established itself as a financially independent junior club for the Kassel Huskies. With over 400 members and 180 active players in seven youth teams (from U7 to U20), the club plays in the Bundesliga (Group B) and in the German junior league (DNL 3).
The youth and junior teams benefit from the support from five qualified chief coaches, including Horst Fahl and Ernst Reschetnikow, as well as seven voluntary part-time coaches and 17 supervisors. The successful youth work was awarded a 3-star certification by the German Ice Hockey Association (DEB). Tobias Klink, another board member, emphasizes the cooperative values of community, solidarity and responsibility.
training offer and cooperation
The regular training sessions amount to two a week, a total of up to six hours a week. In addition, summer training takes place that promotes the fitness and endurance of young players. The running school for children between 3 and 10 years is also offered twice a week. No special equipment is required for these training sessions, but leisure equipment such as helmets and shin atoners is available for a fee.
The association also maintains cooperation with kindergartens and schools, which offers ice activities. These initiatives bring the ice and hockey game closer to the younger generations and make a valuable contribution to social funding promotion. Studies show that ice hockey sport has positive effects on mental skills, concentration and team spirit and contributes to the personal development of young players.
In summary, it can be said that support from institutions such as Raiffeisenbank eG Baunatal is crucial for the sustainable promotion of young talents in ice hockey. In Germany, the youngsters are not only promoted in a sporty, but also personally in order to offer them a perspective in competitive sport and to prepare them for higher play classes.Further information on the activities, memberships and contact persons of the ice hockey Jugend Kassel e.V. can be found on their official website at ejkassel.de .
