Biebergemünd: Stone's throw to the new sports hall - a place for everyone!
at a time when the challenges for municipalities are steadily increasing, Johannes Wiegelmann, the newly elected CDU member of the Bundestag, has declared a priority to direct exchange with the mayors of his constituency. During one of his inaugural visits, he visited Matthias Schmitt, the mayor of Biebergemünd, and was informed about current projects in the community. One of the most important projects is the planned new construction of a modern sports hall in the Kassel district.
The sports hall is designed as a two-field hall and is aimed at the students of the Altburg School and local clubs. Matthias Schmitt emphasized that the rooms of the hall, which are planned in addition to the sports areas, will offer additional added value for the community. The new building is not only supported by the community itself, but also financially by the Main-Kinzig district as a school authority and by Steffen Strauß, a private investor.
investments in the infrastructure
The new building of the sports hall is part of a comprehensive infrastructure program in Biebergemünd. In addition to the sports hall, the fundamental renovation of Spessartstrasse in Kassel and the renovation of the community center at the community center are also important projects. In addition, a new medical and nursing home in Bieber will be created to strengthen the health location of the community. But the current challenges go beyond construction projects.
At the meeting, Schmitt expressed the concerns of the community about new challenges caused by federal and state tasks, such as the accommodation of refugees. Both Wiegelmann and Schmitt said that the re -application of the principle of connectivity - "who ordered, paid" - was essential for just financing these tasks.
Details on the new building of the sports hall
The decision to build a new sports hall in Kassel was approved by the municipal council and the district council of the Main-Kinzig district. The location of the new hall, the Hofacker in Kassel, is within walking distance from the Altburg school. An originally planned draft for a three -field hall was planned to a two -field hall due to the cost reduction. The total investment volume for the sports facility project exceeds ten million euros.
The need to build a new sports facility was determined by the Institute for Cooperative Planning and Sports Development (IKPS). The district also supports this project with a grant of three million euros and will take over the operating costs for the school and club sports sector.
The start of construction is planned for the next year, the design planning and cost estimates will soon be presented to the municipal council. The project is also realized as a public-private partner-ship, in which, in addition to the community, Steffen Strauß is also integrated, who wants to equip the hall with a catering area and other adjoining rooms. In addition, the municipality and the district are signed a “letter of intent” to capture binding parameters for the project.
In view of these far -reaching projects, Wiegelmann insured for the promotion of such projects at the federal level, in particular with regard to the upcoming funding program criteria that are determined as part of the coalition agreement. For comprehensive information on project implementation and the associated grants, interested parties can visit the Funding database
