Bureaucratic hurdles: Hercules terraces are waiting for alcohol sale!
In the popular “Hercules terraces” excursion restaurant at Kasseler Bergpark, guests currently have to do without alcoholic beverages. Operator Karsten Lichtenberg recently turned to the public that he has not yet received a Schank license for the sale of alcohol. Since February, the "Hercules terraces" have been reopened after a change of operator, and while many visitors enjoy the coffee and cake variations offered, the alcoholic drinks lead to frustrations.
Lichtenberg already submitted the necessary documents for the approval in January after founding a company GmbH. However, the process of approval is influenced by bureaucratic hurdles. In particular, higher requirements must be met, which include a certificate of good conduct, a certificate from the tax office and extracts from directories of debtors. "The approval currently depends on the commercial register information, which was personally delivered to me," said Lichtenberg.
bureaucratic hurdles delay approval
The city of Kassel has announced that the documents for the schanery permit have not yet been fully available. Particular attention is paid to the documents that are required directly from the issuing authority. Lichtenberg is waiting for the city to receive the necessary certificates. He expects "the approval will be granted by the end of April", since a closed firm company will be expected shortly.
In order to achieve a schanery permit, specific requirements must be met. According to information from Administrative portal Hessen , it is necessary to apply for temporary permission of a restaurant operation. This permission is not only required for tap companies, but also when alcoholic beverages are offered in other businesses.
high expectations for the location
The success of the "Hercules terraces" could significantly increase the implementation of the tying permit. Many guests express the desire for a more comprehensive offer, which also includes the serving of alcoholic beverages. So far you have to do without this, which reduces the attractiveness of the restaurant a little.
Lichtenberg, who already has experience with faster approval processes from his time as an operator of an outdoor pool bistry, expressed that he was optimistic and hoped for soon. The expectations of the location and the existing offer are high, and this approval could make a decisive difference in the experience of the guests.
For the temporary permission of alcoholic beverages, according to Administrative portal Hesse Opportunities to apply for a time -limited tying permit that can be relieved in special occasions such as city festivals. But for the "Hercules terraces", compliance with the current requirements of the city of Kassel remains the key to implement the hoped-for full offer.
