On April 30, 2025, Düsseldorfer eG (DEG) announced significant progress in terms of financial stability and sporting future. The DEG is now financially secured for the coming two seasons 2025/26 and 2026/27, which was made possible by the cooperation between the city, shareholders and sponsors. Mayor Stephan Keller plans a future summit to bring potential donors together and further strengthen the financial basis of the association.
DEG Eishockey GmbH has developed a concept that not only takes into account the current situation, but also the medium -term perspective of the club regardless of the league, be it in the DEL2 or in the Penny del. These engagements show the common will to lead the DEG back to old strength and to make the team competitive.

A central step in the realignment is the appointment of Rick Amann and Andreas Niederberger, both former master players of the DEG, as managing director. Your experiences and commitment should help to formulate new goals for fans in the coming season.
