Alarm mood in Aßlar: Dispute over the makeshift exit of the A45 escalated!

On February 26, 2025, the district house Wetzlar met an important date that could significantly influence transport policy in the region. In addition, Aßlar's mayor Christian Schwarz expressed concern about the additional traffic flows and the possible negative consequences for fire brigade and emergency services.

The aim of this initiative is to persuade the Federal Minister of Transport to work for the preservation of the Behlkopf departure on the A45 in order not to guide the traffic through the heavily stressed passage through Aßlar. The possibility of use of the exit expires on December 31, 2024, which means that many trucks of waste management can then no longer drive over this road and instead have to be managed by the city.

The unimpressed stance of the federal government has called Braun to hope for a re -evaluation of the situation. Minister of Transport Mansoori did not rule out pragmatic solutions or a possible Federal Council initiative in his speech, which arouses hope for positive changes for the affected communities.
