Fatal traffic accident in Wetzlar: 82-year-old dies after collision

A tragic accident occurred on January 6, 2025 in Wetzlar when an 82-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car and died at the scene of the accident. The incident happened around 6:20 a.m. on the Karl-Kellner-Ring when a 35-year-old driver of a Mercedes Gla drove from the city center towards Schützenstrasse and collided with the pedestrian at the level of the Leitzplatz.
