Future of work in Central Hesse: Continuing education for sustainable transformation

The economy in Middle Hesse faces drastic challenges. The topics of digitization, demographic change, sustainability and global networking make companies before new requirements. In this context, the Bildungswerk der Hessischen Wirtschaft e.V. (BWHW) offers further training as a transformation attendant. This initiative is realized in cooperation with the Lahn-Dill district and the district's education office in order to support companies in adapting to the new circumstances.

An information event for further training takes place on March 18, 2025 at 5 p.m. in the Lahn-Dill Bildungshaus in Wetzlar. This is aimed at corporate managers who want to promote the sustainable development of their company. The event offers the opportunity to get to know the process and content of further training and to find out about funding opportunities. There is also the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts and other companies.

changes in the professional world

Digitization and the focus on sustainability not only change the corporate cultures, but also the existing job profiles. According to job picture.com , automation leads to a loss of traditional jobs, but at the same time creates new professional fields. New key competencies are particularly required in the areas of data analysis and digital communication.

professions such as app developers, data analysts, cybersecurity specialists and social media managers are increasing. At the same time, the need for constant further training is a decisive factor, since specialists have to adapt to changing requirements. In addition, professions in the field of sustainability, such as environmental advisors or engineers for renewable energies, are becoming more important.

opportunities for the future

The upcoming changes also offer opportunities. The high need for qualified specialists in the areas of IT, renewable energies and sustainability advice indicates a positive development in the labor market. The further training as a transformation companion, which begins on April 23, 2025 and goes over twelve weeks, is intended to enable participants to actively accompany change processes and to implement innovation projects.

The training includes a combination of presence phases and virtual units and closes with a certificate. A central element of further training is the development of its own transformation project, which is specifically geared towards the needs of the company. Interested parties can now register for the information event to learn more about the content and possibilities.
