KiTa dwarf island: award for outstanding MINT formation!
The Kita dwarf island in Lettgenbrunn has again received a significant award: the badge of the "Foundation for Children". This was ceremoniously presented on Tuesday. Barbara Harnischfeger, the overall management of the kindergartens in Jossgrund, and the daycare director Natalia Weismantel welcomed Dirk Niedoba, managing director of the educational partner Main-Kinzig, and Dr. Corina Zeller, Department of Early Pedagogy.
The occasion was also used to express the best wishes and congratulations from Mayor Victor Röder. Dirk Niedoba brought the badge and gave a detailed insight into the foundation, which was founded in 2006 and focused on promoting early childhood education in the MINT subjects (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences). The foundation's commitment is comprehensive, with around 90,000 training participants annually, which are intended to support the quality of early childhood upbringing.
project presentation and awards
The Kita dwarf island presented its “Children magical” project as part of the certification, which expresses creativity and joy of discovery of the children. In addition to the badge, the educators also received a certificate for their excellent performance. Dr. In her speech, Corina Zeller invited the children to an exciting excursion into space, which should further stimulate the curiosity and the urge to research by the little ones.
With over 110 daycare centers and primary schools that are part of the foundation's network in the Main-Kinzig district, the importance of the MINT formation in the region is underlined. Particular attention is paid to the fact that the pedagogical specialists have to visit two workshops every year in order to maintain the certification.
exemplary mint formation for children
The Foundation Children Research has the clear goal of promoting children's MINT skills. Children are surrounded by scientific phenomena and can develop critical thinking and problem -solving skills through active discovery and research. These skills are crucial for active participation in society in the 21st century, according to the foundation of the foundation, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Over 36,700 daycare centers and primary schools have already benefited from the foundation's training program, which aims to support children in their independent research and discover. In a total of 6,200 educational institutions, the award "House where children do research" was awarded. The importance of the MINT formation is still emphasized by education initiatives such as the "Mintmachtage", which are celebrated annually under different motto and pursue the goal of arousing enthusiasm for the natural sciences in children.
In an increasingly mechanized and scientifically oriented age, it can be seen that early childhood MINT formation is not only important for the individual promotion of talents, but also for the development of society as a whole. The dwarf island's day care center makes a significant contribution here and offers a stimulating learning environment that challenges and supports the curiosity of the children.
