Creative and sustainable: Poessieweg opened in Ronneburg!

On Thursday, the “evening of culture” took place in the Hessian state parliament, in which the creative work of art and cultural workers in the Main-Kinzig district was recognized. Member of the state parliament Patrick Appel welcomed the two artists Annika Hofmann and Reiner Erdt, who have emerged through their remarkable commitment in the region. The evening not only offered the guests an insight into the work of the state parliament, but also the opportunity to discuss important political engagement and the role of art and culture.

Annika Hofmann is a versatile artist. As a poetry slammer, actress and moderator, she carried out over 300 appearances and interactive workshops. Reiner Erdt, known in the region as a restaurateur of the "Hessenkrone", is not only committed to culinary deliberation, but also art. His pen drawings of historical buildings as well as their own projects such as the stumbling block for old Redism and the "MeinkinzigMemory" are particularly noteworthy.

A common heart project by Hofmann and Erdt is the newly designed "Poetry Way" in Ronneburg. This path, which was previously nameless, connects the structural town center of hut gesäß with newer construction areas and was transformed into a creative mile. The project was supported by the municipality of Ronneburg and the Ronneburg school. The path was realized over two years and offers numerous artistic elements, including a photo wall, artistic installations and a place with a seat.

A remarkable part of the poetry path is a bee feed machine that provides seeds for flowering plants. A book house built by Jürgen Öfner is very popular with users, and on the so -called “thought panel” there are positive comments and creative contributions from visitors. The school children also contributed their part by designing two steles for the poetry path. Reinhold Busch plans to paint a bouncy path according to the principle of "heaven and hell". A geocache point for treasure hunters was also integrated.

political support and outlook

During the evening, Appel emphasized the crucial importance of art and culture for society. With regard to the promotion of young artistic youngsters, the MP announced increased funds in the state budget in 2025 for music schools in the amount of 1.2 million euros. This shows how important it is to support and promote young talents in order to preserve and expand the cultural diversity and creativity in the region.

Hofmann and Erdt were grateful for the invitation and the insights into the political processes of the state parliament. They continue to strive to implement their creative ideas in the region and to enrich the cultural landscape in Ronneburg with further design proposals for the Poetry path.

The inauguration of the poetry path is planned for Friday, June 7, from 5 p.m. On this occasion, the entire creative results are to be recognized and the community should be integrated into the discussion about further artistic projects. Hofmann and Erdt are in a promising path as a harbinger of a continuing cultural movement in the Main-Kinzig district.
