Egg cup 2025: record participants and new egg king celebrated!
The egg -scissi of the TV Langenselbold on Easter Monday 2025 was a truly spectacular event that is of great importance in the community. Since 1963 this traditional event has been organized by the handball department of the Gymnastics Club 1886 Langenselbold. This year the egg scabbing took place in the Gründauhalle and was able to look forward to a record record. A total of 116 people registered, including 89 women and men as well as 27 children and adolescents.
The participants brought three hard -boiled eggs, which came to the tournament area in various conditions - from simply colored to artistically designed. In order to take part in the competition, the eggs had to be thrown, with cracks in the shell, as long as the yolk had not broken, no knockout criterion.
The game and the points of points
The game was simple, but still exciting. The aim was to throw the eggs on a white cloth with a central circle. The award was as follows: 3 points for an egg in the cloth center, 2 points for an egg on the cloth and 1 point for the egg that was closest to the cloth. The group winner was the one who was the first to reach seven points.
With a variety of activities and a festive framework, the egg -scissiblel became an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. After the competition there was a stop at the clubhouse, where the award ceremony took place and the participants strengthened themselves with a green sauce and isotonic hop drinks.
The egg kingdoms 2025
This year exceptional achievements were honored. The egg king 2025 became Jenny Naidzinavizius and the egg king Timo Schlier. Even the titles of the best young players did not go away empty-handed: Max Barthel was crowned the Egg king of the youth and Nino Biasizzo as children's egg king.
The tradition of egg sciences in Langenselbold not only reflects the joy of the game, but also raises the cultural roots that have its origin in Christianity. The egg is a symbol of life and resurrection, which underlines the connection to the Easter festivities. It is therefore not surprising that eggs played an important role in the Middle Ages, especially during Lent, since their consumption was prohibited during this time.
In many regions, including Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia, various Easter games and customs are still alive, which underlines the importance of this festival. So also in Langenselbold, where the egg -ribbon offers unrestricted fun for young and old - a tradition that connects generations.
