Diversity in the VHS program: Education for everyone in the Main-Kinzig district!
The educational partner Main-Kinzig GmbH (GDP) presented its new VHS program for 2025 today. During the presentation, which was led by Jannik Marquart, the head of school and education, and Horst Günther, the managing director of GDP, the motto "more of education" was put to the fore. This initiative underlines the role of adult education centers (VHS) as the central actors of adult education in the Main-Kinzig district. The VHS and their partners will celebrate on special occasions, including the 80th anniversary of adult education in the Main-Kinzig-Kreis and the 50th anniversary of the VHS Main-Kinzig on August 29, 2025, in which taster courses, lectures and hands-on offers are offered. kinzig.news reports that GDP is also looking for contemporary witnesses and photos from the early years to keep the history of the adult education center.
A special highlight of the program is an intercultural choir project that begins in April 2025 and will be high in the intercultural weeks in September. The adult education center thus plays an important role as a place of encounter and exchange, especially in times when topics such as integration and democracy formation are of great importance.
Various offers for all age groups
The VHS program for 2025 includes a wide range of topics that take current challenges. In a world that deals with the climate crisis, social integration, security and developments in politics, GDP offers a variety of courses in German and foreign languages, work and digitization, basic education, health and culture. In the field of work and digitization in particular, the focus is on seminars on Microsoft 365 and quick -wittedness training. GDP also works closely with the Society for Wirtschaftskunde e. V. together to offer garden projects and specialist courses.
Another important area are the integration and professional language courses for trainees who are particularly interested in migrants. The offers range from courses to artificial intelligence to health -related events such as Pilates, yoga and memory training. The social skills and commitment of the communities are promoted by the introduction of democracy workshops that offer a space for participatory discussions on social issues. mkk emphasizes that these workshops have already been launched in several communities in the Main-Kinzig district.
educational experiences for children and adolescents
The program goes beyond adult education and also offers numerous activities for children and adolescents. This includes creative workshops, such as a sewing camp or a manga drawing course, as well as a Mintmachtag on June 24, 2025, which is supposed to inspire children for scientific topics. These initiatives are part of GDP's commitment to make education accessible and attractive for younger generations.
The VHS program for the first half of 2025 is already available online as a leafable catalog and PDF and can also be obtained in printed form in the educational center and other job stops. Interested parties can contact questions on 06051/91679-0 or by email to vhs@bildungpartner-mk.de . This makes it clear that GDP not only creates a wide range of learning opportunities, but also simplifies access to education for all citizens in the Main-Kinzig-Kreis.
