Girls 'and Boys' Day: Insight into the diverse professional worlds!

On Monday, April 3, 2023, this year's Girls 'and Boys' Day will take place in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district administration. On this day of action, young people have the opportunity to explore different areas of administration and take part in a varied rally. Together with groups of trainees, the participants can gain insights into professions that are often underrepresented in their society, such as fire protection and information technology. This is particularly important because around 1,500 employees are employed in the district administration who will present their professions that day.

The organizers inform that the registration is possible by March 27 on the websites www.girls-day.de and www.boys-day.de Participation is aimed at pupils from the fifth grade and offers the opportunity to discover different fields of work. The program includes both insights into everyday administrative life and special offers such as the federal program "Open Government", which promotes citizen participation in political processes.

This underlines the need for events such as the Girls 'and Boys' Day, who strengthen the motivation of young people and encourage them to deal more intensively with their professional perspectives.

On this day, specialist services such as the area of "Digital Services and Open Government" or the municipal equality office are also available. These offers should help not only give young people an insight into different professional fields, but also to support them in obtaining and evaluating information independently. The varied design of practical experience is intended to help the participants develop their professional interests and skills.

For questions about the daily internships, interested students are available to the contact persons in the organization and personnel department at 06421 405-1265 as well as via email at krodum@marburg-biedenkopf.de . In addition, the municipal equality office can be contacted at 06421 405-1310.
