There are currently 25 local advisory boards in Marburg, which are distributed over the city districts of the city. These committees offer citizens the opportunity to actively discuss local issues and to present their concerns. A recently discussed proposal stipulates to expand the local advisory boards in certain districts, such as Hansenhaus/Lahnberge, Ortenberg, Südbahnhof, Grassenberg and Nordviertel, thereby ensuring an equal representation of all parts of the city. The 25 districts of Marburg each have their own local advisory boards with a certain number of members who vary depending on the population.
