Marburg mourns the loss of Dietrich Möller: A legacy for the city!

Dietrich Möller, the former mayor of Marburg, died in Oberweimar at the age of 87. This was announced on January 5, 2025. Möller held the office of mayor of the city of Marburg from 1993 to 2005. Born on November 3, 1937 in Dortmund, Möller originally worked as an agricultural champion and worked on a farm in Oberweimar until 1985.

From 1978 to 1993 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament, where he acted as an agricultural policy spokesman for the CDU.
