Football youth inspires the 2025 Hallen-Schlossberg Cup in Altenburg!

On March 11, 2025, SV Altenburg experienced a spectacular event with the Hallen-Schlossberg Cup 2025, an important youth football tournament that took place in the large sports hall in Alsfeld. The tournament brought 32 teams together and provided excitement and joy among the spectators with 88 games and a total of 166 goals. Participation was not only high, but also the quality of the games made the hearts of football fans beat faster. The tournament went without any significant incidents, and the organizers received consistently positive feedback.

The results of the final games produced clear winners. In the G-Juniors, the JSG Hohe Warte Pohlheim triumphed with a clear 5-0 against JSV Hanau. In the e-junior category, SG Barockstadt Fulda/Lehnerz secured the title with a narrow 1-0 win over the KSV Baunatal. In the F-Junior final, Willingshausen achieved a heartbeat final when they won 5: 4 against Neukirchen after the game ended 1-1 after regular playing time. The third place in the F-Junior category was secured by the JFV Aulaal by a 3-1 win against Ulrichstein.

Despite the overwhelming interest, some challenges had to be mastered. The C-Junior tournament could not be carried out due to the high registration numbers. In addition, the D-Junior tournament failed due to illness. The event was visited by numerous spectators who followed the appealing games and appreciated the performance of the young athletes.

Chairman Ralf Müller and youth leader Thorsten Furgber were extremely satisfied with the course of the tournament and thanked the many volunteers who had contributed significantly to the success of the event. In the course of the award ceremony, the participants not only received trophies, but also training balls and discount vouchers for NextLevel experiences. The main sponsor of the tournament, the Burger King Restaurant in Alsfeld, played a crucial role.

A look into the future

The next issue of the Hallen-Schlossberg Cup is already planned for 2026, which further increases the anticipation for the next big football event in the region. With such well -organized tournaments, SV Altenburg contributes to strengthening youth football and promotes the fun of sport with the young talents.

The indoor tournament from 4 to 5 March 2023, which was organized by the Altenburg sports club, testifies to the continuous orientation of such events. This was shown in a broad participation of 33 teams and the edition in five age groups. Here, too, the spectators were able to follow the games live and on their smartphones, which meets the modern requirements for sporting events.

Overall, the SV Altenburg stands for a lively football season, which leaves a positive impression on both regional and national level and promotes the passion for football among young and old. It remains to be seen which exciting developments the upcoming tournaments will bring.
