Remscheider starts a fundraising campaign for hungry animal keepers!

In the Remscheid animal shelter, the employees and animals face major challenges. Sahra Bissek, a 21-year-old media designer, has decided to actively help. For a year and a half she has been volunteering in the animal shelter, where she muck out stables, provides fresh water and pays loving attention to animals. But the current feeding passport does its job and that of the entire team all the more urgent. At the moment, only fresh feed for the nine rabbits and guinea pigs can be provided every two to three days. The animal shelter naturally treats its residents in a species -appropriate manner by relying on the vegetables purchased on discounters such as salad, carrots, apples, peppers and herbs instead of inferior press feed.

Augusta recently gave birth to four healthy rabbit babies, three of which are still waiting for a new home (snail, mosquito and flöchen). In the current context, in which feed shortage prevails, the search for new families is all the more important for the animals. These try to overcome the concerns about the feeding passport by offering potential adoptants the opportunity to contact the shelter directly.
