This day, January 18, 2025, the 15th matchday of the 2nd handball Bundesliga of the women took place. The games offered exciting duels and surprising turns that spectators captivated.

An outstanding encounter was the duel between the ESV 1927 Regensburg and HSV Solingen-Gräfrath. Regensburg was able to prevail with 27:26 after a nerve -wracking course. At halftime they led to 14:11, but Solingen equalized after the break and even took the lead five minutes before the end. Regensburg, however, demonstrated nerve strength and scored the last three goals to win the game.

In another exciting match, SV Werder Bremen competed against the 1st FSV Mainz 05. Bremen initially fell behind and was 9:13 in the back at half time. The Bergische HC 06 was also able to win a clear victory against TuS Lintfort with 26:22. They were dominant right from the start and did not let Lintfort get closer in the course of the game. HL Buchholz 08-Rosengarten also showed a strong performance and defeated the Kurpfalz Bären with 28:23.

Furthermore, the SV Union Halle-Neustadt settled against the HSG Bad Wildungen Vipers, the final score 35:24 for Halle-Neustadt. Mainz-Bretzenheim and Waiblingen separated with an exciting draw, and the TG Nürtingen had to take a defeat against HC Rödertal.
